ECM Libra Foundation 2015 (Study Loan)

The Foundation offers study loans to selected underprivileged and needy students undertaking tertiary education in any approved course ("Approved Course") in any MQA approved local private or public university or college (“Approved Institution”). The study loan which is interest and bond free will cover tuition fees which will be paid directly to the institutions. The study loan may include cost of living expenses.You must have gained admission to an Approved Institution before you can apply for the loan. Generally you may apply for any Approved Course of study but the Foundation reserves the right not to offer the study loan for reasons and criteria that are governed by the Foundation’s policies.

Why a loan?
The Foundation offers loans only to those who are truly needy rather than scholarships because a loan gives the recipient a sense of self-esteem and commitment to their studies since they know they have to repay the loan. It is the Foundation’s hope that it will act as a strong motivating factor for the loan recipient as failure or dropping-out is not an option. Thus he or she will strive for the best grades throughout the course of study.

Eligibility
To be eligible for the study loan programmes, the applicant must:

• Be a Malaysian citizen;
• Prove eligibility for financial assistance, as means testing will be strictly applied.
• Have a good academic record and preferably active in extracurricular activities;
• Have gained admission into an Approved Institution for an Approved Course.
• Provide evidence of strong self-discipline and drive.

Selection Interview
Shortlisted candidates are required to attend a selection interview at our office at a time and date to be determined by the Foundation. It is mandatory for your guarantor to attend the interview as well. You are required to bring along all your original certificates as proof. After the interview and if the Foundation, in its absolute discretion, decides to offer you the loan (subject to compliance with all its requirements), you and your guarantor are required to sign a Study Loan Agreement and Guarantee and Indemnity Agreement respectively (in the form and substance determined by the Foundation) with the Foundation.

Khazanah Global Scholarship Progamme 2013

The Khazanah Global Scholarship is a prestigious award that offers opportunities for bright and high-achieving Malaysians to pursue Undergraduate and Postgraduate studies at selected leading universities around the world. In addition, recipients of the Khazanah Global Scholarship are provided with leadership trainings and job attachments at leading organisations in Malaysia.

Khazanah Global Scholarship Progamme 2013 Details
Scholarship Criteria	General Terms and Conditions 1. Possess strong leadership skills and active participation in extra-curricular, social or voluntary activities 2. A personal statement (for undergraduate study) or a research outline/ thesis summary (for postgraduate study) is required 3. Applicants must have a consistent and outstanding academic achievement record as follows: For Foundation Studies 1. Obtained a minimum of 8As (combination of A and A+) in the recent SPM examination 2. Not exceeding 18 years of age as at the enrolment date for the foundation studies. For Undergraduate Studies 1. Obtained a minimum 3As for A-level 2. Obtained a minimum of 3.50 CGPA for Bachelor’s Degree 3. Obtained admission to pursue or currently pursuing studies at renowned universities (Conditional offer can be considered) 4. Not exceeding 21 years of age as at the enrolment date for the Degree programme Master Degree 1. Obtained a minimum of Second Class (Upper) Degree (Hons) for Bachelor’s Degree 2. Obtained admission to pursue studies at renowned universities (Conditional offer can be considered) 3. Not exceeding 40 years of age as at the enrolment date for the Master programme PhD 1. Obtained a distinction or ‘A’ grade average or equivalent (if there is a point systems) at Masters level 2. Field of Study
Scholarship Package	The scholarship will cover for the full duration of the course of study, and provides for tuition fees, monthly living expenses, return air passage and other provisions, such as book allowance, establishment and end of study allowances.

Yayasan Sime Darby Undergraduate Scholarship Programme (Local) 2013

Yayasan Sime Darby invites qualified candidates to apply for Yayasan Sime Darby Undergraduate Scholarship Programme (Local) 2013.

Eligibility & Criteria

• Malaysian
• Aged 25 years or below
• Good communication skills
• Ability to demonstrate leadership qualities and potential
• Actively involved in extra-curricular activities and sporting events
• STPM leavers or students who have completed or currently in the final semester of their foundation programme, local matriculation programme or diploma programme and will enroll into undergraduate programme in local university in 2013
• Candidates who have received conditional offer letter from local universities accepted by YSD will be given priority.
• Students who are currently in the 1^st year of undergraduate studies in universities accepted by YSD

Minimum Academic Requirement

• STPM (minimum 3A) or
• CGPA of 3.50 or above in latest academic result.

Note: Previous academic achievements will be taken into consideration.

Fields of Study

Scholarship will be offered to individual pursuing the following fields of study:

• Business : Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration/ Management, Economics, Human Resource, Finance, Property and Asset Management, Real Estate & Value Management

• Engineering and Technology : Computer, Information and Communication Technology (ICT)

• Sciences : Agriculture, Plantations Technology, Plantation Management, Environmental Science, Agronomy

Note: Scholarships for medicine, pharmacy, dentistry and medicine related degree are not available.

Value of Scholarship
Full scholarship covers tuition fees, board and lodging, books allowance and computer allowance.
Recipients of scholarship will have the opportunity to undergo Scholars Development Programme and experiencework exposure through internship within the Sime Darby Group of Companies.

Note: The scholarship will only cover expenses incurred after the award to recipients (i.e. upon execution of the scholarship agreement).

Service Bond Period

On completion of studies, scholars will be required to serve Sime Darby Group of Companies for 2 to 4 years, depending on the duration and value of the award.
