Scholarship Criteria	(1)   Malaysian Citizenship; (2)   Genuine financial need and good academic results. Must possess relevant pre-university qualifications, eg. STPM or equivalent. Field of Study	(1)   Undergraduate courses undertaken and completed in Malaysia only (including “3+0″ foreign degree courses); (2)   Accreditation by MQA (Course accreditation can be verified at MQR portal at the MQA website : www.mqa.gov.my); (3)   Priority given to science stream courses.
Scholarship Package	Loan or half-loan or hafl grants ranging from RM10,000 to RM30,000 per anum depending on courses undertaken

PETRONAS Education Sponsorship Programme 2014 Details

Since 1975 PETRONAS has awarded education sponsorships to more than 30,000 deserving students  of high academic calibre, with an appetite for innovation and heart for the community.

PETRONAS Education Sponsorship Programme (PESP) is once again open to Malaysia’s most outstanding students to pursue undergraduates studies in oil and gas related fields.  Eligible candidates will be shortlisted and interviewed prior to final selection.

Approved Universities

• Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) [successful candidates are required to complete 1-year foundation programme prior to pursuing Bachelor Degree's programme]
• Overseas Universities [ successful candidates are required to complete up to 24 months Pre-University Programme prior to pursuing Bachelor Degree's programme]

Eligibility

• Malaysian citizens aged between 17 – 19 years in 2014
• Possess strong leadership skills and active participation  in extra-curricular activities.

Application Procedure

• Application are open on 20 March 2014
• Application for PETRONAS Education Sponsorship Programme 2014 must be made online at educationsponsorship.petronas.com.my
• For UTP scholarship, it is compulsory to submit related UTP admission application at www.utp.edu.my

Closing Date

The deadline for the PETRONAS Education Sponsorship Programme 2014 application is 26 March 2014. Application result will be communicated via portal on 4 April 2014.

Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP)

The MTCP Scholarship for Post-Graduate Studies provides opportunities for students to pursue advanced academic study in Malaysia. This scholarship is a Government-to-Government basis, without any bond imposed by Malaysia. Scholarships are intended for promising candidates who may be expected to make a significant contribution to their own countries on their return from Malaysia. The duration of the award is 36 months for PhD and between 12 to 24 months for Masters Programme.

 

 

Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP) Details

 Scholarship Criteria

To be eligible for MALAYSIAN TECHNICAL COOPERATION PROGRAMME (MTCP), applicants must fit the following criteria:-

1. Not be more than 45 years of age during application.
2. Obtained a minimum of Second Class Upper (Honours) or a CGPA of 3.5/4.0 at Bachelor Degree Level for Masters Degree applicants and for PhD candidates must possess CGPA 3.5/4.0 or very good result at Masters degree level in a similar field of intended PhD study. In addition, for post-doctoral programme, the selection will be evaluated based on the number of books produced, refereed/non refereed journals, portfolio and patent copyright. The Post-Doctoral candidate must have excellent reputation in research and possesses knowledge related to the research to be carried out.
3. Took one of the following English Language Proficiency Test not more than two years before the date of application. The list of tests and minimum scores required:
   1. IELTS Academic Test with a score of at least 6.5; or
   2. TOEFL paper-based test with a score of at least 580 or computer-based test with a score of at least 230 or internet-based test with a score at least 92.
4. In excellent health condition and certified by a Certified Doctor/Medical Professional. The cost of medical examination is to be borne by the applicants
5. Wrote a proposal that is relevant to the field of studies.
6. Has applied for and gained admission to postgraduate and post-doctoral studies in Malaysia (conditional letters of offer will be accepted at the time of application or has a confirmation of acceptance or affiliation with the universities in Malaysia).

All applications should be made ONLINE through Ministry of Education’s website at https://biasiswa.moe.gov.my/INTER/ starting from 01 January 2014 until 31 March 2014.STEP 1 REGISTER your Passport Number or National Identication Number, password and email address. LOGIN to online application form and fill in all section completely. Please ensure all informations are correct before you print the application and logout. STEP 2 Please attach printed application form together with the following documents: Recent passport size photograph. Completed Medical Report. A certified copy of current passport showing evidence of citizenship. UNIRAZAK STUDY ABROAD PROGRAMME

UNIRAZAK Student Exchange Programme is designed for students who wish to acquire the experience of living and studying in an International setting through a short-term study programme.

It aims at fostering international understanding among students and offers exciting opportunity to combine a high quality academic and cultural experience while living and studying at a Partner University. UNIRAZAK has bilateral agreements with a global network of partner institutions to enable students to experience this unique opportunity.

UNIRAZAK STUDY ABROAD PROGRAMME Details 

Scholarship Criteria 

Students should have completed at least Year one (1) of study at UNIRAZAK at the time of participation in the Exchange programme. Students will need to provide evidence of a CGPA of at least 3.5, or equivalent as approved by specific UNIRAZAK’s Dean of faculty, in order to gain admission. Moreover, students should provide evidence of English language proficiency as follows:

•     IELTS – band of 6.0   

•    TOEFL iBT score of 60 or as agreed and equivalent, determined by Universiti Tun Abdul Razak Second Year students onwards with Outstanding Academic performance and Active in Curricular activities.

This is open to students who will be undertaking full time first degree courses at the preferred Malaysian and JPA approved international universities based in Malaysia.
Preferred Degree Discipline

• Technical – Petroleum Engineering, Geosciences, Mechanical Engineering.
• Non-Technical – namely Finance, IT, Human Resources.

*Students with physical disabilities (Orang Kurang Upaya) are not restricted in their choice and may apply to do a degree in any discipline.

Scholarship Criteria

This will be offered to students who plan to pursue their studies at the following universities and in these fields, in the United Kingdom or United States:

Strong leadership skills qualities and active participation in extracurricular activities such as societies and clubs, sports, etc.     Not presently holding other scholarship/loans.     Disabled Identification Card certified by Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat (where applicable)     Consistently strong academic achievements as follows:  For Undergraduate studies     - Strong academic results in the STPM Trial Examination (minimum 3A’s & 1B) or A-Levels Forecast Results (minimum 2A’s & 1B)     - Minimum of 3.5 CGPA at Matriculation / Diploma level This will be offered to students who plan to pursue their studies at the following universities and in these fields, in the United Kingdom or United States:
